Oxford Valley Mall Reopens Friday
The mall in Langhorne, which shut down on March 15, will have safety precautions in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

LANGHORNE, PA — Oxford Valley Mall will reopen its doors on Friday, the company that owns the mall announced.
The mall in Langhorne has been closed since March 15 to help curb the coronavirus outbreak. On Friday, Bucks County moved the less-restrictive green phase of Pennsylvania's plan to curb the virus's spread.
During the green phase, retailers may reopen with safety precautions, including a limit on the number of customers who are allowed inside at any given time.

The mall reopens with new safety protocols in place that have been shared with all tenants, mall officials said. The property also will be working with local nonprofits to help people in the community struggling as a result of the outbreak, they said.
The mall's hours will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sundays.

"The health, safety and well-being of the community we serve will always be our highest priority, and we have developed a thorough and detailed set of protocols highlighting the exceptional measures we’ve implemented for shoppers, retailers and employees as we reopen," said Gwen Karpf, general manager at the mall.
"We also recognize that individuals and families in our community are suffering significant hardship as a result of both COVID-19 and the economic shutdown, and we believe that reopening our property will not only help people get back to work during these challenging times, but also enable us to use our property to further support charitable initiatives."
According to the company, Oxford Valley Mall provides more than 2,400 jobs and contribute $7.3 million of sales tax and $2.1 million in property tax revenue to the state.
Safety changes to combat coronavirus at Oxford Valley Mall will include:
- Extra sanitation and disinfecting using Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-approved products with an emphasis on high-traffic areas such as dining areas, restrooms, escalators, stairs, directories, trash bins and door knobs
- Shopper safeguards including available masks, sanitizing wipes and temperature testing at entrances or property offices
- Hand sanitizing stations throughout the mall
- Signs promoting CDC guidelines for personal hygiene
- Employee health screenings
- Employee safety protections, including frequent hand-washing and personal protective equipment
- Social distancing practices, including occupancy limits, furniture and restroom spacing, closure of play areas and strollers and traffic flow coordinated
"Our property is an integral part of our community not only in terms of shopping, dining and entertainment, but also job creation, small business growth and community support," Karpf said. "We look forward to once again serving the needs of our community, and doing so in a safe and responsible manner."
