Sesame Place Opens Saturday For 'Halloween Spooktacular'

The park will open Saturday and stay open on weekends through Halloween. In October, Sesame Place also will open Friday evenings.

LANGHORNE, PA — Sesame Place is opening its doors for Halloween, while celebrating a classic character. On weekends starting this Saturday, Sept. 22, the park in Langhorne is hosting The Count's Halloween Spooktacular — when the park will be transformed into a family-friendly Halloween wonderland.

The park also will be open from 4-8 p.m. on Fridays in October. Visitors are encouraged to come in costumes and enjoy the park's three holiday-themed shows, ride Halloween-themed rides and see all the Sesame characters dressed up in costumes.

During the fall run, the Neighborhood Street Party Parade, with its 10 floats, will have a Halloween theme as well.

"Light Up The Night" is a nightly Halloween light show featuring dancing pumpkins, silly skeletons and more not-so-scary images dancing across the sky. The three Halloween shows are "Elmo the Musical Halloween — Live at Sesame Place," "Who Said Boo?" and "The Not-Too-Spooky Howl-o-Ween Radio Show."

Sesame Place's annual Halloween costume contest will be held on Oct. 28, with prizes awarded for first, second and third place in both children's and family categories.
