Snow Moves Out But Don't Expect Spring To Arrive In PA

The snow may be gone, but spring isn't coming yet. Forecasters tracking another system this weekend.

An April snowstorm that left some parts of Eastern Pennsylvania with as much as six inches of snow has moved out of the area. The storm caused some morning travel issues on Monday, including accidents and school delays.

Forecasters say the snow will melt rapidly, with high temperatures in the upper 40s predicted by mid-day.

But don't expect pleasant spring-like weather to arrive right away. Rain is predicted for much of the week, including Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Forecasters say they're also tracking the possibility of more snow this weekend.

It looks like spring will continue to avoid us, even into the weekend. The National Weather Service says there is a chance of snow on Saturday and Sunday morning.

As of Monday morning, the NWS says there is a 40 percent chance of rain and snow Saturday night, when temperatures dip to the low 30s. Snow is also possible through Sunday morning, but temperatures reach the mid 40s by the afternoon.

Forecasters with AccuWeather predict, as of now, the system that could bring the rain and wet snow will miss the Philadelphia region. If it moves north, it could result in the winter weather. More on that as the weekend draws closer.
