Thrift Superstore Opening In Oxford Valley

The store is in the Court of Oxford Valley, across from the mall and near BJ's and Home Depot.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — A new thrift "superstore" is set to open in Oxford Valley across from the mall next month.

2nd Avenue Thrift Superstore will host a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 20. The store is located at 330 Commerce Ave., in Fairless Hills. That's in The Court at Oxford Valley, next to BJ's and near the Home Depot.

The grand opening will be on Saturday and Sunday, May 22-23.

Headquartered in Bensalem, 2nd Avenue Thrift — originally called Village Thrift — started as a for-profit thrift company in 1959. Its website promises "not only the highest quality second-hand goods but also the best value in clothing, household items and collectibles."

They carry clothing, shoes, accessories, household items, furniture, electronics, toys and more, with more than 10,000 items put out for sale every day, the site says. 2nd Avenue buys all of its merchandise from the American Red Cross, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the National Federation of the Blind.

The Oxford Valley store will be 2nd Avenue's 12th location. It also has a location at Philadelphia Mills and one in North Wales.

Hours will be 9 a.m.-9 p.m., seven days a week.
