West Nile Virus Found in Falls Township Mosquito Samples
A total of 75 mosquito samples tested positive for West Nile Virus on Tuesday and Wednesday. See what local communities were affected.

A total of 75 mosquito samples tested positive for West Nile Virus across Pennsylvania on Tuesday and Wednesday, including dozens in the Philadelphia region, the Department of Environmental Protection announced.
Spraying has been scheduled in Falls Township, Middletown Township, and Warminster Township in Bucks County, officials announced. Spraying has recently been done in several other local communities, including Abington.
Thus far this year, two humans have tested positive for West Nile in Pennsylvania, including one in Philadelphia.

According to the CDC, about 1 out of every 5 infected humans will develop a fever and other symptoms from West Nile. Less than one percent of humans infected develop a fatal neurological illness, the CDC said.
