LEVITTOWN, PA — Zio Gio, the casual Italian restaurant in Levittown, is closing its doors.

On Facebook, the longtime local eatery announced that Saturday, Aug. 24, will be its last day.

"We have to express our immense gratitude to all of you for your love, support and friendship over the past several years," the restaurant's owners said in the post. "It has been our great privilege to serve you, and we deeply appreciate everyone who made coming to Zio Gio part of their routine."

Established in 2014, Zio Gio is located at 3901 Veterans Hwy. Serving up "Italian street food," the South Philly-style spot serves cheese steaks, meatballs, roasted chicken and pork, pizza, gelato and more.

The owners said they don't know what their next project will be, but promised to update their customers when they do.
