10,000 Expected For Drive-Thru 'Phestival Of Trees' In Montco
Organizers expect 10,000 visitors to the holiday celebration, which includes 200 decorated trees, a light show, animals, Santa, and more.
OAKS, PA — As fall gets underway and seasonal celebrations starting popping on calendars, Montgomery County is already preparing for the holidays amid the pandemic.
A special socially distanced, drive-thru "Phestival of Trees" will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks from Nov. 27 through Nov. 29. More than 10,000 visitors are expected, organizers said.
The unique event will include 200 decorated holiday trees, a live nativity scene, an appearance from Santa, a light show, a Hanukkah menorah, Kwanzaa display, and more.

The event, put on by the firm Marketing by TKE, aims to raise money for local shelters and rescues.
“We are thrilled that adjusting our annual holiday event to a drive-thru, safe, activity has been so well received,” BJ Zellers, TKE's president of marketing said in a statement. “We didn’t want to miss out on opportunity to raise funds for animal shelters and rescues at a time when funding and support are needed more than ever.”

The 200 trees will be decorated by local residents, businesses, and area organizations. The trees will be sold online following the event, with all proceeds going to 10 designated shelter and rescue organizations.
