10 New Rite Aid COVID Testing Sites Opening In Montgomery County

Montgomery County is getting even more testing capacity. The new drive-thru sites are open to anyone 4 and over.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Rite Aid will open 317 new, free COVID-19 testing locations on Friday, including several in Montgomery County.

The drive-through locations will open throughout Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Rite Aid announced.

  • 2674 Egypt Road, Audubon
  • 1441 Old York Road, Abington
  • 277 Dekalb Pike, North Wales
  • 780 Route 113, Souderton
  • 1035 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley
  • 2182 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley
  • 1205 Ben Franklin Highway West, Douglassville
  • 350 Main Street, Pennsburg
  • 820 Main Street, Royersford
  • Limerick Crossing Shopping Center, Limerick

These sites are in addition to the existing six community testing sites run by the county government, located in Green Lane, Lansdale, Willow Grove, Norristown, Ardmore, and Pottstown.

Like Rite Aid's existing test sites, the new ones will use self-swab nasal tests overseen by pharmacists. Each site will operate Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The testing will only be available at drive-thrus to ensure the safety of customers seeking in-store services. The tests will be available to anyone four years old and up, whether they are experiencing symptoms or not.

Customers are required to register online at Rite Aid's website to schedule a time for testing. Children from 4-17 may access testing with a parent or guardian's consent. The parent or guardian must be present for the testing.

Rite Aid is now operating 777 COVID testing sites across 16 states.
