2 Montco Residents Named 2021 Eagles Cheerleaders

Two of the newest Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders are Montgomery County natives who have pursued graduate degrees.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Two of the newest Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders are Montgomery County natives who have pursued graduate degrees.

One of them is King of Prussia's Deja Gaskins, a West Chester University MBA graduate who currently works as a staffing coordinator at a Connecting Pieces. The organization provides services for children with special education needs.

Another is Cassie Boone, a Horsham native and graduate of St. Joseph's University. She's currently pursuing her own Masters of Science at Gwynedd Mercy University.

"We are thrilled to announce our squad for the 2021 season," Barbara Zaun, Eagles Director of Entertainment Teams, said in a statement. "As ambassadors for the organization, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders embrace meaningful engagement with our fans and have a strong connection with the community. This year's newly selected cheerleaders will have an integral role in welcoming our extraordinary fans back to Lincoln Financial Field."

The local pair are among 11 new members who join 21 veterans on the Eagles cheer squad. They were selected from a candidate pool of hundreds, which included 24 states and five countries.

The Eagles will play 17 games in 2021-22, as the schedule was expanded for the first time in years.
