All Three Suspects In Norristown Pizza Shop Assault Arrested: PD

Tipsters who helped police track the suspects down said they were "appalled" by the incident.

NORRISTOWN, PA — All three of the suspects charged in the assault and robbery of a Norristown pizza shop owner last month have now been arrested, police said.

Justin Croson, 19, of Seven Valleys in York County, turned himself in on March 5, authorities announced. This came the day after Justin and Kevin Cassidy, 19-year-old twins from Aston in Delaware County, turned themselves in.

Tipsters in the Aston area who helped police track the suspects down said they were "appalled" by the incident, authorities said. Police thanked these residents for their cooperation in identifying and locating the suspects.

All three were released on bail; Croson on $25,000, and the Cassidys on $40,000. As conditions of their bail, they are not permitted to return to the Norristown area, save for their court proceedings. They are also not permitted to have any contact with the victim, the victim's family, or her business.

The incident occurred back on Feb. 19 at Mama Venezia's Pizzeria, located on 674 E. Marshall Street.

The owner, Ying Ngov, chased after the suspects with a shovel when they refused to pay for beer, authorities said.

When she caught up to them, the group of men shoved her to the ground and then began beating her. Police said Croson, who faces the more serious charge of aggravated assault, was responsible for starting the attack.

Preliminary hearings are set for March 17.
