Code Blue Declared In Montco As Dangerous Cold Returns
The wind chill could plummet into the single digits over the next few days in Montgomery County.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A "Code Blue" cold weather emergency has been declared for the next few days in Montgomery County as freezing temperatures make a return to the region, officials announced.
The declaration is in place from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 through 9 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. The Code Blue is issued by the Montgomery County Board Commissioners when the temperature or wind chill is expected to drop below 20 degrees, putting anyone outside in potential danger.
A low of 12 degrees is expected in Montgomery County on Friday, and 24 on Saturday, with wind making things even colder.

Authorities urge residents to check on elderly friends and neighbors to ensure their homes are heated. It's also a good idea to make sure your vehicle is fully winterized, with antifreeze, a full tank of gas, inflated tires, and an emergency kit.
