Council to Swear in New Member Tuesday Night
Norristown Municipal Council voted on Friday to appoint Cy Burke to the interim at-large council seat vacated by Dwayne Royster in April.
Norristown Municipal Council meets again Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Norristown Municipal Hall, 235 East Airy Street in Norristown.
Though not on the agenda, council is expected to swear in its newest member – Cyril "Cy" Burke. Burke was voted in at a special meeting Friday evening to fill the open at-large seat left vacant when Dwayne Royster stepped down in April. will hold the seat until a new at-large council member is voted in in the November 2013 election.
Also on the agenda is a presentation from the high school, some residential parking matters and a motion to approve a vehicle lease with Fairmount Engine Co. #2.
