EAST NORRITON, PA — As vaccine distribution continues across Pennsylvania, more and more vaccine providers are popping up across the region, including several in Montgomery County.

A vaccination clinic will be held at Suburban Community Hospital in East Norriton on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

"The event will serve as an historic day for the hospital as they administer the Pfizer vaccine to community members of Montgomery County," the hospital said in announcing the clinic.

Though this clinic is just for one day, Suburban plans to have a monthly series of clinics throughout the year as more vaccine becomes available, they said.

They are one of several hospitals and healthcare systems in Pennsylvania making the vaccine available to the public. Pharmacies are also receiving doses directly. That's in addition to the mass vaccination clinic run by Montgomery County at Norristown Area High School.

It comes amid concerns that distribution of vaccine has become spread too thin in Pennsylvania. As more vaccine providers are established, existing providers receive fewer doses; both Montgomery and Lehigh counties received thousands of fewer doses last week than they had the week before.

While no appointments are available for Wednesday's clinic at Suburban, officials are hopeful dates will be set soon for future clinics. In the meantime, they recommend that those who missed out register with the county.
