Dannehower Bridge Lanes Over Schuylkill River To Be Shut Down
The bridge carrying U.S. 202 over the Schuylkill will have lanes shut down in both directions for inspections next week.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Dannehower Bridge, which carries U.S. 202 over the Schuylkill River between Norristown and Bridgeport, will have lanes shut down in both directions for inspections next week.
The closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A northbound right lane closure is scheduled from Dekalb Street to Main Street on Monday, Feb. 10, and Tuesday, Feb. 11.

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, and Thursday, Feb. 13, a right lane closure southbound will take place between Main Street and 4th Street.
Motorists should allow for additional time when traveling over the bridge and in the area, as slowdowns are expected.

PennDOT says the inspections are part of their program to inspect all bridges at least once every two years to ensure safety and to check on their overall condition.
