Elmwood Park Zoo Updates Mask Policy
Masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated guests at Elmwood Zoo, though they're still strongly recommended when in close contact.
NORRISTOWN, PA — As more and more businesses around the state are updating their mask policies in the wake of the latest federal guidance, some local attractions are joining in relaxing their rules.
That includes Elmwood Park Zoo, which announced this week that fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks.
However, individuals are "highly encouraged" to be worn when inside buildings and where social distancing from staff and other guests is impossible.

Masks are still required for anyone participating in encounters with otters, primates, red pandas, or any of the big cats.

Many major chains in Pennsylvania are making similar shifts: Starbucks, Costco, Sam's Club, and Trader Joe's will also no longer require masks.
Others, meanwhile, say they are still evaluating the latest guidance Walgreens, CVS, Macy's, and Home Depot.
