Elmwood Zoo Readies For First Ever 'Dog Days' This Week
Elmwood Zoo is making history as the first zoo in America to become dog friendly. Special tickets are now available.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Last month, Elmwood Park Zoo made history when they announced that they would become the first zoo in the United States to become dog friendly.
Now, special tickets have gone on sale for the "dog days," which will allow visitors to the zoo to bring their dogs with them on select days.
The first dog day is coming up this week on Wednesday, March 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All humans and pups must reserve tickets by filing an online application that contains key veterinary and vaccination information.

Several other dog days are planned in the near future on certain Wednesdays and Fridays in March and April.
There are also "Yappy Hours" planned on certain Thursday nights, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Zoo Brew Beer Garden.
