Former Kenrick Coach Frank Petrone to Be Inducted into WCU Football Hall of Fame
Petrone, a former Norristown resident and current teacher at Methacton, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at his alma matter, West Chester University, this Friday night.
Frank Petrone may be a brain at Arcola Intermediate School in Eagleville, but he's got a storied history as a jock. That history will be celebrated this Friday, April 19, when Petrone will be inducted into West Chester University's W. Glenn Killinger Football Hall of Fame.
Petrone, a former Norristown resident and a current 7th-grade math teacher at Arcola, played defensive lineman at WCU in the late 1960s/early '70s. He continued his gridiron career as an assistant coach at Bishop Kenrick High School here in Norristown and William Tennant High School in Warminster.
Petrone and his wife Linda currently live in nearby Cedars. He is the father of two children, Andria Petrone Bagley of Boston, Mass. and Phillip Petrone of Conshohocken.
