Greater Norristown Art League Offers Summer Art Camp

The GNAL art camp helps inspire creativity and confidence in youth.

The Greater Norristown Art League (GNAL) will hold its summer art camp, where youth ages 6 – 14 can explore basic art techniques and develop life-long love of the arts.

According to Jo Ann Cooksey Bono, GNAL member and co-camp instructor, the camp has been held for the last 17 years at the GNAl building, located at 800 W. Germantown Pike in East Norriton. She said the camp has grown in popularity over the years with approximately 250 youth attending, and often coming back year after year.

“Besides coming for a good time, the children are ncouraged to explore their creativity, gain confidence in their abilities,” Cooksey Bono said in an e-mail. “And, it’s easy to see how proud they are when visitors come to view their artwork in the group show.”
