KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — After just a few years in business, Mistral, the King of Prussia Mall's upscale and seasonally based restaurant, has closed its doors.
The final day of full operation for the store was Oct. 5.
"We would like to thank all of our loyal customers over the last few years - it has been such a pleasure," Mistral said in a statement posted to their Facebook page.

When the eatery debuted in 2017, led by chef Scott Anderson, it was seen as one of the area's hottest new restaurants by industry experts.
The restaurant reportedly cited financial reasons for its decline.

"We put up a great restaurant," co-owner Stephen Distler told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We just weren’t able to turn the numbers."
In addition to serving fresh, seasonal ingredients, including offerings from Montgomery County farms, Mistral focused on "fast-paced shared plates," and aimed to create a unique dining environment. The King of Prussia location had seating for 111 guests, along with an 18-seat bar and room for 48 to sit outside.
There's no word yet on what will be done with the location.
The store was located just outside of the mall itself, next to Lord and Taylor and adjacent to Neiman Marcus.
King of Prussia has remained one of the fastest growing restaurant areas in the region, debuting numerous new eateries over the past year or so including North Italia, Eddie V's Prime Seafood, Marketplace Eatery, Bartaco, and offbeat offerings like legendary Hollywood hot dog joint Pink's Hot Dogs. They joined other additions from 2017 like True Food Kitchen, Luke's Lobster, Yard House, Bluestone Lane, and Outback Steakhouse.
If you have an unused gift card to Mistral, you can still use it at other restaurants with the same owners: Mistral Elements in Princeton, New Jersey, and Aetherfishtown in Philadelphia.
