Large Brush Fire Battled On I-476 In Montgomery County

A brush fire broke out along the highway late Friday morning.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A brush fire broke out along I-476 in Montgomery County late Friday morning.

The incident began at 10:45 a.m. near the ramp to Route 30 in the Lower Merion area.

Several area companies have responded to the scene.

Large plumes of smoke were being carried over the roadway, impacting traffic late Friday morning.

The area of I-476 southbound between exits 16 and 13 is impacted.

There is no word yet on any injuries.
