Man Shot in Norristown Drives To Gas Station, Dies

Police say two men were shot in Norristown and then drove to a Plymouth Township gas station

One of two shooting victims who drove to a gas station in Plymouth Township died early Tuesday morning, according to NBC Philadelphia.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office and the Norristown Police Department on Tuesday announced a joint investigation into the alleged homicide after the Monday night shooting on the 1200 block of Locust Street in Norristown, according to a district attorney’s office press release.

Police say they responded to the shooting call at 8:52 and found fired shell casings and other evidence at the scene. Police later found the man, whose identity is being withheld until family is notified, inside a vehicle in Plymouth Township, according to the release.

The man was transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

According to the Times Herald, two ambulances rushed to the Plymouth Fire Company where a helicopter waited to take at least one of the victims to the hospital.

A report says that the homicide victim was with another man, who was also shot. The two men drove more than three miles to the Lukoil gas station at Ridge Pike and Chemical Road in Plymouth Township.

The report states that a witness saw one of the victims lying with part of his body outside of the vehicle, bleeding from what they believed were gunshot wounds to his torso.

The other victim is in stable condition, according to the report. Police are still investigating.
