Montgomery County Republicans rescind endorsement of Scott Misus, 52, after he allegedly made offensive remarks on social media.
A Methacton School Board candidate lost his endorsement from the Montgomery County Republicans after community members complained he left what they believed were racist and anti-Semitic comments on websites, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The report states that Scott Misus, 52, allegedly made several offensive remarks concerning race, gender and religion. Once notified about the remarks, county Republicans sent out a press release, rescinding their endorsement, and calling the candidate’s posts, “repugnant and offensive.”
Since the election is less than two weeks away, Misus will remain on the ballot, according to the report.
