Missing Norristown Man Found
73-year-old John Smith was discovered tangled in some brush in a wooded area near the Regatta Apartments and the 1000 block of Main Street

Authorities have confirmed that 73-year-old John Smith, who had been , was found Monday evening. Smith is reportedly safe and currently being treated at Mercy Suburban Hospital for exposure and related minor injuries.
According to Norristown Police Lt. Todd Dillon, Smith was discovered entangled in some brush in a wooded area between the Regatta Apartments off Sandy Hill Road and the 1000 block of East Main Street. He was examined by emergency medical personnel at the scene and transported to the hospital for further treatment.
It's unclear how long Smith had been trapped in the wooded area, but his blood sugar levels indicated that he had eaten food in the last few days.
