Montco COVID Positivity Rate Now At 1.1 Percent
Steady progress continues to be made in eradicating the pandemic in Montgomery County.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Steady progress continues to be made in eradicating the pandemic in Montgomery County, as the percent positivity rate on COVID-19 tests is now all the way down to 1.1 percent, officials said.
That's a drop from last week's mark of 1.8 percent, marking the lowest numbers since the pandemic began in March 2020.
Additionally, the total weekly number of new cases has fallen from 128 to 72, according to Department of Health statistics covering the most recently tracked seven-dpay period.

All healthcare metrics have also shown steady improvement over the past months, with the average daily number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropping from 64 to 41 the past week. Similarly, the average daily number of patients on ventilators fell over that same period from 11.9 to 4.6.
