Montco Launches New COVID Vaccine Registration System

The entirely new Microsoft-based system prevents line jumping and does not require residents to use the "token system" to register.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County has created a new registration vaccine registration system from scratch which is says will vastly simplify the process for residents.

The new system eliminates both the original link sharing problem that was allowing countless people to jump in line, as well as the cumbersome "token system" which replaced it, which prevented link sharing but required residents to use a six or eight digit code to book appointments.

"It's a much better experience," Commissioner Val Arkoosh said Wednesday regarding the new system.

Pre-registration was temporarily down on Wednesday and Thursday as the system goes online. Residents will be able to add their name to the list on the county's COVID-19 Vaccine page here once it goes up.
