Montco Sees Another 'Code Red' Issued As Severe Heat Continues

Powerful heat is continuing to spread throughout the region, leading Montgomery County officials to issue another Code Red emergency.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — With temperatures rapidly rising to potentially dangerous levels, Montgomery County has declared a Code Red Hot Weather Emergency.

The declaration will be in place from Monday at noon through Tuesday at 7 p.m., as heat index values will shoot up above 100 degrees during the daylight hours on both of those days.

"Such conditions can be deadly, and residents should take precautions to prevent heat-related stress and exhaustion," Montgomery County Commissioners said in a statement.
