Montgomery Co. Announces 10 Ballot Drop-Off Boxes For Election

Ahead of the Nov. 3 election, the county has announced the placement ballot drop-off boxes in 10 different towns around the area.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Ahead of the Nov. 3 election, Montgomery County announced Tuesday the placement ballot drop-off boxes in 10 different towns around the area. The decision was made by the county's Election Board.

The boxes are an added step to help relieve pressure on the US Postal Service, which is preparing to handle the historic 2020 election's unprecedented number of mail-in ballots.

The boxes were also in place for the primaries in June. Officials hope the boxes both expedite the counting of ballots and improve voter access to timely drop-off locations.
