'Native American Day' Planned At Norristown Farm Park

Live demonstrations, displays of Lenape culture, Native American artifacts, animals pelts, and much more at this unique fall event.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown Farm Park will host their annual "Native American Day" on Sunday, September 25.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attendees will get to see Native American artifacts, replicas, see presentations and demonstrations, and displays of Lenape culture.

Some displays will include flint knapping, jewelry, clothing, tools, foods, and animal pelts and bones. Come and talk to these knowledgeable experts. There will be Native American children’s games and crafts too, so the event is appropriate for whole family.

Norristown Farm Park is located at Barley Sheaf Drive and Germantown Pike in East Norriton. Meet at the picnic pavilions in parking lot number 3 for this event. The rain date is Sunday, October 2, 2016.

In California and South Dakota, Native American Day is an official state holiday held near the end of September. The official day for 2016 is September 23.
