Norristown Fire Department: Upper Merion Assist

On Saturday, June 19th, Quint 27 responded to assist Station 56 (Upper Merion) at a working dwelling fire in the 200 block of Jasper Road.  Quint 27 arrived quickly after the first due engine and assumed the 1st due truck responsibilities.  Crews threw ground ladders, ventilated, searched, and deployed a second handline to the 2nd floor.  While checking for extension on the 2nd floor, crews encountered a significant amount of fire and extinguished the same.  After considerable overhaul and rehab, the Quint was released by Jasper Road command close to two hours after dispatch and returned to Norristown.
