Norristown To Hold 2 Town-Wide Cleanup Events This Year

The goal of the projects, which will see large dumpsters placed all over Norristown, is to curb littering and illegal dumping in the area.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown will hold two town-wide cleanup events this year as a part of their new trash service contract with J.P. Mascaro and Sons.

The goal of the projects, which will see large dumpsters placed all over Norristown, is to curb littering and illegal dumping in the area. Events will take place on May 1 and in early November.

A total of 16 dumpsters, 30 cubic feet each, will be spread around town. They'll accept bulk trash items like furniture, mattresses, tires, and doors. Electronics and hazardous waste will not be accepted. littering.

Dumpsters will be in place at the following locations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • E. Airy St and Arch St.
  • DeKalb St. and Elm St.
  • E. Lafayette St. and Ford St.
  • W. Main St. and Stanbridge St.
  • Main St. and Swede St.
  • Markley St. and Coolidge Blvd.
  • W. Marshall St. and Haws Ave.
  • New Hope St. and E. Roberts St.
  • New Hope St. at Marshall and Oak streets
  • Powell St. and E. Brown St.
  • Sterigere St. and Stanbridge St.
  • Swede St. and Chestnut St.
  • W. Elm St. and Astor St.
  • W. Elm St. and Buttonwood St.
  • W. Washington St. and Hartranft Ave.
  • W. Washington St. (between Buttonwood and Hamilton streets)
