Norristown HS Senior Wins Full Ride Scholarship To Princeton
Just a small percentage of more than 18,000 applicants were honored with the prestigious scholarship.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown Area High School student is doing Montgomery County proud.
Senior Beatriz Alcala-Ascension was selected as a QuestBridge National Scholar, a prestigious designation which earns her a full ride scholarship to attend Princeton University.
The program specifically works to assist high schoolers from low income backgrounds who have excelled academically.

Just a small percentage of applicants to the QuestBridge program became award winners. Beatriz was one of 1,464 winners, out of 18,500 students who applied, Norristown Area School District announced.
The award includes all tuition, room and board, and monthly stipend for travel expenses, and mentoring. She will have no student loans.
