Norristown Woman Injured in Perkiomen Crash Tuesday

Marilyn Steckiel, 26, was riding her motorcycle when a Schwenksville woman allegedly ran a stop sign and hit her with her car.

According to Perkiomen Valley Patch, 26-year-old Marilyn Steckiel, of Norristown, was hospitalized after being hit by a car at Gravel Pike and Plank Road in Perkiomen Tuesday morning. Steckiel was on a motorcycle at the time.

Steckiel was reportedly thrown from the bike when Gladys Molina, of Schwenksville, allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign in her Volvo S60 and hit Steckiel on her Honda Interceptor. Steckiel landed in the southbound lane of Gravel Pike while Molina continued on and hit a tree.

Molina and her teenaged passenger were uninjured, but Steckiel was transported to Paoli Hospital with unknown injuries. Hospital officials declined to comment on her condition Wednesday morning.
