NORRISTOWN, PA — As officials look to get the final swaths of Montgomery County inoculated with a COVID-19 vaccine, they have convinced a crucial individual who they hope will serve as a positive example for the rest of the community: the Phillie Phanatic.

The greatest mascot in all of sports will receive his shot at the Elmwood Park Zoo during a special clinic next Monday, June 21, officials said.

To further encourage participation in the clinic, all who receive a vaccination will receive a free ticket to the zoo, or a pass to come back for free entry on another day on the future.
