Pink's began in 1939 as a hot dog stand opened by Paul and Betty Pink. Its promixity to major motion picture studios in Los Angeles has attracted movie stars and producers from every generation, from Orson Welles to Bruce Willis. It's also been featured prominently in various movies and TV shows.

It's since expanded to 14 locations, but the King of Prussia Mall location is the first on the Atlantic seaboard.

It seems likely that the King of Prussia Mall location will be the only Pink's in the Philadelphia area.

“We want to keep Pink’s as unique as possible; we didn’t want to dilute it,” owner Richard Pink told the Philadelphia Business Journal. “We teamed up with the King of Prussia Mall, one of the great malls of the United States. It’s unique, a real destination, with quality stores, and that’s what we wanted to be associated with.”

While Pink's will deliver their famous hot dogs just as they're made out in Hollywood, they've also added a Philly twist: the Philly Cheesesteak Dog.

"We took our delicious hot dog and topped it with grilled steak, grilled peppers and onions, and American and Swiss cheese slightly melted," they wrote. "We even decided to try some grilled steak on top of our awesome fries and topped it with nacho cheese...... You jealous?????"

Pink's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
