Probe of Bevilacqua's Death Continues
Report: Montgomery County coroner to investigate amount of prescription drugs in the late cardinal's system.

According to Fox 29 News, preliminary findings show the late Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua had prescription pharmaceuticals in his system, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, which has been investigating the Cardinal's death.
Coroner Walter I. Hofman did not say what kind of drugs were found in Cardinal Bevilacqua's system and according to reports, "his office is now testing to see if the amount of drugs in Bevilacqua's system at the time of his death matches the prescribed dosage."
Cardinal Bevilacqua died Jan. 31, 2012, one day after a judge declared him competent to testify in the trial of three priests accused of sexual abuse. He had been suffering from cancer and dementia at the time of death.
