NORRISTOWN, PA — Several public meetings are scheduled this week in the Norristown area.

Norristown Municipal Council Work Session

The next work session for the municipal council will be held on March 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Items on the agenda include a proposed deletion of some 2,000 arrest records, appointment of new officers, approval of an ordinance to extend Lafayette Street as a public street, a land development proposal on East Fornance Street, and tax abatement programs.

COVID-19 vaccination town hall

A COVID-19 vaccination town hall will be held Tuesday evening, March 16, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Zoom.

Speakers include Commissioner Val Arkoosh, State Sen. Maria Collett, and CHOP scientist Angela K. Shen. Registration is available here.

The county commissioners will hold their weekly COVID-19 briefing on Wednesday afternoon, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. The event is livestreamed on Facebook.
