“Ribstock” Celebrates 10 Years Of “Peace & Music”
The Bridgeport Ribhouse's Annual Charity Concert Supports Expressive Path, The Bridgeport Little League and Musicopia

“Ribstock”, the Bridgeport Ribhouse’s beloved annual charity concert event, is rockin’ and rolling in to its 10th year with an onslaught of live music and entertainment that is sure to be one for the books. Featuring eight bands, as well as a variety of special guests, the all-day music extravaganza will be held Sunday, February 16 starting at 2 PM as part of an epic Presidents’ Day Weekend at the iconic Bridgeport Ribhouse (1049 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA).
Affectionally known as the “Day Of Peace And Music,” this much-anticipated event will benefit the Bridgeport Little League and Norristown’s Expressive Path, a non-profit organization committed to enriching, educating, and inspiring adolescents by providing resources in the areas of theater, dance, music, humanities and the visual arts.Musical instruments were also donated to Musicopia, a local non-profit that works to build sustained partnerships with school districts throughout the region and is a leader in revitalizing in and after school music programs.
According to Bridgeport Ribhouse Owner Melissa Navitsky, nearly six thousand dollars was raised for the charities last year and she believes that, with the community’s support, the 10th Annual “Ribstock” will be even more successful.

“The Bridgeport Ribhouse is grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and we feel blessed that we are able to help out with benefits such as ‘Ribstock’,” said Navitsky. “We are so thankful for the participation of everyone involved who has volunteered his or her time and talent to keep Bridgeport strong.”
The 10th Annual “Ribstock” will feature performances by some of the area’s best artists including: The Hot Sauce Junkies, Former Strangers, Idlewild South, Nat Attack (featuring Michael Natalini of The Trammps), Bonehead, Old School, Paul Hammond (from Get the Led Out) & Friends (including special guests Brian Quinn of Candlebox, Danny Beissel of Featherborn, and John McNutt of the Mile High Club) and Montoj.

In addition to the live music located inside the bar, sandwiches and other food items will be served outside in the tented area in the Ribhouse parking lot.
“Ribstock” will be sponsored by the following local businesses: Rotation Records, axis construction Management, Bello Brothers Construction, dmk Publicity and Bauder Audio Systems.
Rotation Records, located in Norristown, is a full service, state of the art recording studio and live entertainment organization. axis Construction Management, located in King Of Prussia, PA, provides construction project management, general contracting, tenant improvement, design/build, and a host of related services to commercial and institutional clients throughout the Philadelphia region and along the East Coast.
Bello Brothers Construction, located in King Of Prussia, PA, is a family owned business performing concrete work for the past 30 years. dmk Publicity, also headquartered in King Of Prussia, PA, is a full-service PR firm specializing in the music, entertainment, restaurant and business sectors. Bauder Audio Systems, which is located in Horsham, PA provides a wide selection of audio and backline equipment as well as a full-service staff of production, audio and backline technicians to major entertainment companies and venues.
This popular event was created by the Bridgeport Ribhouse staff, Philadelphia musicians Kevin Burk, Brian Quinn and Paul Hammond, sound engineer Dave Anderson, and dmk Publicity Owner Denise Kovalevich as a way to give back to the community.
A $10 entry fee is required for the event.
