Special Norristown Vaccine Clinic Now Open To All Of 1A

The municipality has expanded eligibility for the upcoming clinic to all Norristown residents in 1A.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown's upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinic is now open to all residents of the municipality who fall under the 1A priority category, officials said Wednesday.

It was previously only open to those over the age of 65. That now includes anyone aged 16 to 64 with serious underlying medical conditions, those in long term care facilities, and healthcare workers.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 27, at Municipal Hall from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

East Norriton Pharmacy will be administering 1,000 doses of the vaccine at the clinic.

To receive a dose, you must apply ahead of time. The only ways to apply are by calling the Greater Norristown NAACP (610-316-2340) or by picking up an application in person at Municipal Hall or ACLAMO Family Services.

Walk-up registration will not be accepted, and there is no online application.

Municipal Hall is located on 235 E. Airy Street, and ACLAMO is on 512 W. Marshall Street.
