Via Veneto Announces Last Day at Markley Street Location

The iconic pizza and water ice shop will close it's Markley Street doors at the end of business this Sunday.

The news of Via Veneto's impending (temporary) relocation to East Norriton has had Norristown pizza and water ice aficionados buzzing for weeks and now there's an update – the shop will be closing it's doors on Markley Street at the end of the business day this Sunday, April 14.

The business made the announcement on their Facebook page on Wednesday.

The bad news? They won't be opening in their new, temporary location at 2688 DeKalb Street (in the southeast corner of the Northtowne Plaza Shopping Center across from Mercy Suburban Hospital) until the following week sometime. An exact date isn't set, but the owners promise to keep their loyal customers informed through Facebook. (Patch will be spreading the word as well!)

According to the owners, the East Norriton location has plenty of amenities to make up for the disorienting move:

  • New dining area with tables and chairs AND booths
  • Wait service
  • Wifi bar
  • Wheelchair accessibility
  • And it's BYOB!
