In Wake Of Pandemic, Montco Offers $5M To Local Nonprofits
Montgomery County is making significant pandemic relief funding available to local nonprofits.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Pointing to the significant disruptions and loss of funding streams during the pandemic, Montgomery County announced that they have made $5 million in support available to local nonprofits.
The funding will be disbursed through the MontcoStrong 2021 Nonprofit Resiliency Grant Program.
"Nonprofit organizations that provide help with food, healthcare, housing, childcare mental resources, elder care, and more are critical to the restoration of our communities as we move towards more normalcy," Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence said in a statement.

Applications for the program will open at noon on July 19, and will close on Aug. 10.
Organizations that are awarded grants can use the funds to cover any operational expenses incurred between Jan. 1, 2021 and Oct. 31, 2021.

The total amount of funding for each nonprofit will be determined by the criteria laid out in the program's guidelines.
