Watch Live: Norristown Forum On Evictions Offers Aid, Resources

The event aims to help county residents impacted by evictions, especially as the pandemic has made communities even more vulnerable.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A virtual forum was held on Tuesday to help Montgomery County residents impacted by the evictions process, particularly as so many residents have become more vulnerable due to the pandemic.

Organizers provided information and key resources for residents at risk. They also spoke to the need for more affordable housing in the region.

"Montgomery County is a very expensive place to live, Norristown is a very expensive place to live...affordable housing is a must," Norristown Councilman Hakim Jones said.

The event was put together by the Greater Norristown N.A.A.C.P., the Montgomery County Prothonary, Your Way Home, ACLAMO, and Legal Aid of Southeastern PA.
