Young Teen Boy Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver, Police Say
Teen at Hamilton and West Main streets struck by unknown driver of a truck, according to authorities.
A young teen boy was walking in the area of West Main and Hamilton streets in Norristown Tuesday night when a hit-and-run driver struck him, police said.
A teen boy, around age 13, was struck by a hit-and-run driver of a truck. Police have not released the description of the vehicle, but witnesses on Facebook say authorities are searching for a white, Ford pick-up.
The boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. His condition was unclear at the time of the call, which went out for emergency response at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday night. The call was responded to by Plymouth Ambulance.

The unidentified driver is being sought by police. Those with any information about the accident should call Norristown Police at 610-275-1222. Norristown police will continue to seek information on the case.
According to a witness at the scene, the boy appeared to be injured and was crying.

"He was on his way home," the witness said. "A car turned and hit him. His knee is showing on his leg, and he was holding his arm. He started crying."
She said following the hit, the driver left the scene.
"The man that hit him, darted," the witness said.
