Alleged Shoplifters Pepper Spray, Threaten Witness, Police Say
The incident occurred outside a Toys R Us.
UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Three Pittsburgh women were arrested after allegedly shoplifting from the Village Square Toys R Us in Bethel Park and then pepper spraying a witness who had called 911.
According to Bethel Park police, the trio allegedly stole more than $3,000 in merchandise. The witness saw them fill shopping bags and leave the store without paying, then followed them outside to get their license plate number and call police.
While the unidentified witness was on the phone, the witness was pepper sprayed by one of the woman, while another threatened to stab her. The trio then fled, but were apprehended a short time later by Mt. Lebanon Police.

The suspects were identified as Jade Washington, 19, Jamika Williams, 24, and Brittany Savage, 26. They were charged with robbery, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and retail theft, according to court documents.
Additionally, Washington was charged with simple assault, Williams was charged with terroristic threats and Savage was charged with driving without a license.

Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Dec. 28 before District Judge Ronald Amoni.
