Fatal Jet Ski Collision: GoFundMe Page Set Up For Victim

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - A GoFundMe page has been established in the memory of Ciara Eiriz, 20, who died Tuesday in a jet ski collision in Hilton Head, SC. The page, which went up Wednesday, had received more than $16,000 in pledges as of Thursday morning.

An Upper St. Clair High School graduate and a member of its dance team, Ms. Eiriz was a senior fashion merchandising major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority.

"Ciara's life revolved around her family and friends whom she adored, " the GoFundMe tribute stated. "She had the kindest heart of anyone you could ever hope to meet. Ciara was loved immensely by all of those friends and family members whosehearts she will now live in forever. She was truly an angel among us with a soul too beautiful for this earth. "

Two jet skis were involved in the collision, according to a South Carolina Department of
Natural Resources spokesman. The person on the other jet ski was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning at the
Medical University of South Carolina.
