UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Wednesday is National Calzone Day, which seems like an appropriate time to pose this question: Where can you find the best calzones around Upper St. Clair?

1. Armstrong’s Express, 609 Washington Ave., Bridgeville
“Had the Cajun wings and Italian calzone,” one reviewer wrote. “The wings were good, the calzone was outstanding.”

2. Ardolino’s Pizza, 1141 Boyce Road, Upper St. Clair
Our stomachs started to growl after reading this Yelpster’s review: “I Recently tried the Italian calzone and cheese calzones, and both were an amazing blend of high quality ingredients melted together to perfection.”

3. Danny’s Pizza, 5159 Library Road, Bethel Park
How large are the calzones at Danny’s? “I split a Philly cheesesteak calzone and curly fries with my boyfriend, both of which were made to order and super tasty,” a reviewer wrote. “The calzone was huge and fresh, lasting us 2-3 meals.”

One Yelpster favors a hybrid calzone selection: “Also got a wedgie, that uniquely Pittsburgh mix between a calzone and a hoagie, and it was delicious. Definitely one of the better wedgies I've ever had.”
