Painters Run Road Projects To Prompt Detours, Delays

Find out here when the road work begins.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Several bridge projects will prompt detours along Painters Run Road this year, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced.

Crews will begin repairing a span in the 1800 block of Painters Run Road in Scott beginning March 9. While there will be no initial traffic restrictions, there will be a full closure of the road at the bridge beginning in July.

Another bridge about 350 feet east of the intersection of Painters Run and McMillan roads in Upper St. Clair will be repaired once the first bridge project is completed and likely will require traffic restrictions.

Crews also will be performing guide rail installation, drainage work, base repair, as well as milling and paving on Painters Run Road between Bower Hill Road and Cedar Boulevard
in Mt. Lebanon, Scott Township and Upper St. Clair. That work will begin in April and will require short stoppages in work zones with flaggers controlling traffic.

Detour and other additional information will be announced as the projects get underway.
