Pittsburgh Woman Killed In Hilton Head Jet Ski Collision

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - An Upper St. Clair woman died Tuesday in a jet ski collision in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Authorities there identified the victim as Ciara Eiriz, 20, who was pronounced dead at the C.C. Haig, Jr. Boat Landing following the collision.

Two jet skis were involved in the collision, a South Carolina Department of Natural Resources spokesman told the Raleigt News & Observer. The person on the other jet ski was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Ms. Eiriz was an Upper St. Clair High School graduate, an Indiana University of Pennsylvania student and a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, according to her Facebook page.
