Pittsburgh's 4th of July 2020 Fireworks Canceled

Pittsburgh's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

PITTSBURGH, PA – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Pittsburgh.

Although Pittsburgh's day-long Independence Day celebration and fireworks have been canceled, it's still possible to get into the Fourth of July spirit via websites offering virtual fireworks displays.

You also can create your own personal backyard fireworks display. A variety of firecrackers, sparklers, poppers, ground spinners, jumping jacks, Roman candles and other items are available at Phantom Fireworkson Old William Penn Highway in Monroeville.
