Police Probing Instagram Posts Of Student Holding Assault Rifles

The student reportedly is an Upper St. Clair School District rising 7th grader.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Law enforcement authorities are investigating a social media post that appears to show Upper St. Clair School District middle school student holding weapons. Superintendent John Rozzo confirmed the probe in a letter to parents.

“Please know that our school police, township police, and other law enforcement agencies have been working cooperatively to fully investigate the issue since reports were first shared with officials on Sunday,” Rozzo stated. “Student safety remains our utmost priority. We will continue to work with the proper authorities to bring resolution to this issue.”

Because the investigation involves a minor, Rozzo said the district could not provide any other details regarding the student and the investigation. KDKA-TV received a screen capture of an Instagram posting from a viewer who claimed the boy is rising 7th grader at Fort Couch Middle School.
