Preschoolers Joined Together to Make a Difference

A “Coin-A-Day Challenge” was held at The Goddard School® located in Upper Saint Claire, PA where all proceeds were used to purchase new books for local hospital’s pediatric unit, St. Clair Hospital.

“Teaching young children to help others creates a foundation for character development by building a strong sense of self, the importance of caring for others and an awareness of their ability to influence the world in positive ways,” said Lori Santo, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Upper Saint Clair. “We are proud to continue validating for the children the value of goodwill and caring for others.”

The children and teachers recognize the significance of giving back and being a part of their community through aiding those less fortunate. At The Goddard School, laying the foundation to good citizenship is fostered through the development of four essential skills: friendship, compassion, cooperation and kindness.
